Super Mario 3 really showed what the NES could do. I remember seeing Super Mario 3 and saying wow, games can’t look any better then this. We now know this is not the case but before Super Mario 3, nothing looked like it before. The backgrounds and the sound were much better quality then any game pre-dating it. You could tell that Nintendo put a lot of time into this game. There was nothing better graphically after this game. With the making of Super Mario 3 the once great fire flower was replaced by a leaf that turned Mario into a flying raccoon amongst many other power ups. I can still put Super Mario 3 in today and run through it.
