Contra was a game that my brother and I played for hours but always ended up in a fight. My friends and I always thought that one of the guys was Sylvester Stallone as Rambo and the other was Arnold Swartzenegger as Commando. After putting the Konami Code in and starting the game, if my brother took the Spread shot before me he would be punched in the arm. What bothered me the most was that he could never stay alive long enough before he started taking my lives by smashing the start button. All the levels were the same – only the scenery changed. Contra was a great game that could be played in one sitting before your NES would reset it self. The NES and games like Contra when looking back now you can tell people enjoyed what they were doing and put quality before making money in their games.
