Mai Shiranui of Fatal Fury fame is one of the original fighting game femmes to impact the genre. Normally put up against Capcom’s heroine Chun-Li in many pictures, Mai’s moves are dramatically different as she relies on quick attacks and projectiles instead of the leg barrage that Chun wields. Mai is descended from her grandfather – master Ninja Hanzou Shiranui, and she is madly in love with Hanzou’s top student, a master himself in ninjitsu Andy Bogard. Don’t let the assets fool you, Mai is one of the deadliest fighters when played correctly.
