If I had to compare One Missed Call to another movie, it would have to be the hilarious comedy SuperBad. I know what your thinking, how could I compare a horror movie to a comedy? It’s easy my friend, on one hand you have a movie like SuperBad, a movie that takes the context of the word “Bad” to mean something really good. And then you have One Missed Call, a movie that is just Superbad, and I don’t mean that in a good way.

One Missed Call is a series of bad scenes put together to make one super bad movie. The characters were forgettable and the story was unforgivable. The premise of the movie, you get a voice mail on your phone dated from the future, and when you listen to it, it’s you talking right before you die. Hey guess what, if I was a character in this movie and got a voice message from a future me it would be a recording of me watching this shitty movie and dying from it. I do hope the original Japanese version of this film is better. One missed call is a bad rip off of the Ring and Final Destination. And I don’t need a phone call from the future to tell me the final destination of this movie – Razzie Award Nominee.
