If you don’t know who she is – actress Janina Gavankar plays the shifter girlfriend of Sam Trammell on HBO’s True Blood but the real woman is actually “one of us”. Even on her website she lists herself as “Actor, Musician, Geek” and while it’s been the popular thing for hot girls to claim nerddom for us to fan them even harder… I think I believe this woman.
Last year on G4′s Attack of The Show when discussing her geekdom Janina refered to herself as a geek who happens to act. She said she was THE first actor on Twitter and that she is into very techy things. She said she is a completist who (at the time) was 2 kill streaks away from 100% completion on Assasin’s Creed. She is formally trained in classical piano, vocals, and orchestral percussionist. I wouldn’t be surprised if this woman could fly since she seems to have everything else amazing covered.
Look at it this way haters; if a woman as talented and beautiful as Janina is an obvious nerd like you, chances are maybe that soulmate, dreamgirl of yours truly does exist eh? Janina is is half-Indian and half-Dutch for those of you who care about having to know someones race; so she breaks another stereotype of geeks being exclusively… ya not gonna go there. In any event, Janina Gavankar is a legitimate celebrity gamer, so worship and support her in whatever shows and movies she has coming.
