Star Wars: The Old Republic – Massive Review
Varied planets, voluptuous women and manly men, all decked out in the finest armor and gear running about in a museum of animated mannequins doing mundane things to trick you that life truly exists in The Old Republic. People run up to captains, bartenders and droids, collecting their individual bounties, uninterested in one another as they play out their individual stories and lives. This is Star Wars The Old Republic at a glance...
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim – Massive Review
Personally, I consider Skyrim to be a beautiful escape into a real Fantasy world. Sure other RPG’s will allow you to wear the shoes of a hero going on a grand adventure but none of them feel as “table-top” as Skyrim does. I think this element is the key to its draw (gamers like myself are drinking the Kool-aid hardcore) along with the beautiful real-time scenery, the impressive dialogue and the lack of loading in the massive...
Dragon Age 2: Mark of The Assassin – Review
Mark of the Assassin (MoTA) is probably one of the better missions you will find in Dragon Age 2, which isn’t saying a lot but I had a lot of fun playing it and was not disappointed with its length, content and rewards. Felicia Day stars in this DLC as the elven assassin Tallis, a Qunari convert with a strong sense of loyalty to the Qun.
Fans of the Mass Effect series will be a little annoyed with MoTA because it is almost the...
Mass Effect 2.5 DLC Review – Arrival
Mass Effect 2 Arrival is the last DLC in this wonderful sequel to the space opera. The point of this particular mission is for Shepard to travel to Batarian space and rescue a covert specialist who happens to be Admiral Hackett’s friend. The mission starts out in what seems to be an abandoned prison and ends up on an asteroid base. The unique thing about Arrival is that Shepard is solo which has not happened in this game before.
As...
Dragon Age 2 – Massive Review
I wasn’t amped on Dragon Age 2 when I first saw the trailer of mage class Hawke battling the Qunari Arishok to the death. Later on when they showed the actual gameplay it looked so fast and crazy that I assumed that they had abandoned everything from the old and was catering it to the negative attention span of average American gamer. Boy was I ever so wrong. Since the release of the game to my Steam account on PC, I have...
Battlestar Galactica: Online – Review
Even though it is a browser-based game Battlestar Galactica Online has all the makings of your standard mmorpg. You have people begging for help in the chat even though the manual is right at clicking distance, you have elitists telling them to rtfm(read the f-ing manual) and then you have folks discussing the show. Just about everything you can think of goes on in the chat that is typical of any game that’s based off of a...
Mass Effect 2.5 DLC Review – Lair of The Shadow Broker
Bioware has released another stellar DLC for Mass Effect 2 in Lair of The Shadow Broker, a download that isn’t just another extra mission for Shepard’s crew but rather a bit of closure for Liara T’soni – our beloved Asari from the original Mass Effect.
Liara’s History
During the Mass Effect 2 mission players who romanced Liara in the first will find her to be a changed, colder version of herself. You...
Dragon Age Origins: Witch Hunt – DLC Review
I loved that evil bish Morrigan, I really did and it seems that quite a few gamers felt the same way about Dragon Age Origin’s sarcastic, misfit, maleficar. While people who rushed through the game, skimming dialogue and taking no time to know their party will tell you that she is an intolerable mess, players who got into the Dragon Age saga will own Morrigan as their bish. You know how it is “she’s kind of a bitch… but...
Mafia II: Review
Many gamers (especially those who played the first one) are disappointed with Mafia II. The game looks absolutely beautiful, the city is huge, detailed and expansive yet you aren’t allowed to explore it outside of missions. The dames are lovely, the gangsters look like gangsters and the graphics are pretty damn impressive… streaming lights off the vehicles at night. There are many positives and a few unforgivable negatives...
Valve’s Alien Swarm – Review
Alien Swarm has got to be one of the best things going for owners of a Steam Account. Valve issued this free game to anyone with a PC and you better believed I jumped on it after receiving a tip from my buddy Krys on Facebook. Expecting a cheesy momentary distraction, I had no clue that I was installing an addictive kickback to games like Smash TV, Ikari Warriors and Gauntlet. Alien Swarm is a kickback to many older games but it...
