When 3GK first launched in about ’09 we used to have a forum where members could exchange videos and one of the classics that was posed was a video called Jedi Gym. Now for the longest time I couldn’t find this gem because I kept searching for “Jedi Academy” which of course yielded nothing but FRAPS footage of that old game. While followers of SNK’s King of Fighter’s series may disagree with me on this, for 3GK The King of Fighters 97 was the apex of perfection for this series. Of all the Ultimas that this author has had the pleasure of playing, the most memorable was Exodus. In Ultima III Exodus yourself and a three other explorers are hired by Lord British to save the land of UIltima from a vicious enemy (can’t recall if it was a demon or dragon). Capcom’s X-Men vs Street Fighter is the title that started all of the crossover madness that 2D Fighting game lovers like myself cherish. While it had its share of flaws, I recalled the early days of the arcades when infinite loops weren’t discovered, Wolverine was king and variety was the spice of life.
