Can you recall which game sucked you in the hardest (if you’re the type that actually cares for reading)? For role-playing gamers the answer is probably a hard one – because you have options, but for the casual gamer it may take some thought. Recently I was disheartened after learning that the majority of Mass Effect and Dragon Age players were skipping through the dialogue to get to the end. Knowing that we are in the age of “tl;dr”... 

So there is a new Assassin’s Creed on the horizon (October 30th) and while we wave goodbye to the legendary Ezio Auditore we can now get excited for the man who takes on the hood and the hidden blade after him. Just today GameInformer.com revealed some nice cover shots of the future Assassin’s Creed sequel and we got a glimpse of what is to come… Go ahead and wipe yourself off. Now color me optimistic but the tomahawk pwning that...

I was on the ropes about Soul Calibur V being that I knew I was going to get it and be reserved to picking my old characters and doing the same combos I’ve been pretty much doing for the last 2-3 games but this morning the official announcement of my man Ezio Firenze joining the swashbuckling just tipped my anticipation to HYPED!  A leaked image had appeared of Ezio a few weeks back and I withheld from posting it due to it not being confirmed.... 

Mark of the Assassin (MoTA) is probably one of the better missions you will find in Dragon Age 2, which isn’t saying a lot but I had a lot of fun playing it and was not disappointed with its length, content and rewards. Felicia Day stars in this DLC as the elven assassin Tallis, a Qunari convert with a strong sense of loyalty to the Qun. Fans of the Mass Effect series will be a little annoyed with MoTA because it is almost the exact same mission... 

It’s always amazing when us regular schmoes are given a chance to flex our wings and become amazing. This time the blessing was Madeline Bell’s who is an 18 yr. old science major from sunny California. Madeline’s boyfriend convinced her to try out for UJAM’s international voice contest to do the Assassin’s Creed theme and lo and behold she killed it. In the realm of Ferelden outside of the walls of Kirkwall and around the time of the champion Hawke, there is an elven assassin by the name of Tallis. This first episode of Dragon Age: Redemption gives us a glimpse of the crimson haired killer as we learn that she works for the Qunari, does not like to be called “knife ears” and has been relegated to kitchen duty for failing a prior mission. This new mission given to her for the glory... 

“An invitation, an ambush, a mysterious jewel to steal” all spoken in the voice of non other than nerd queen Felicia Day… yes her elven thief will be joining you Hawkes on a grand adventure in this new Dragon Age II DLC. If you still have the game installed (unlike most of us salty fans) you may want to pick it up. For the record, it still looks amazing.
