Mass Effect 3 DLC: Omega – Review
While the return to Omega was a nice trip down memory lane, I found the relative length and mediocrity of this DLC “Omega” to be a bit disappointing.
For the fans of Mass Effect lore and those who liked the gangster queen Aria T’Loak in ME2 – getting an entire DLC to spend some one on one with the Asari badass is beyond appealing. After all Aria disallows any of your crew to join you on her trip to usurp Omega’s...
Were We Too Harsh On Mass Effect 3?
I am playing through Mass Effect 3 for the 3rd time now and it dawned on me how very much I like the game – sure not as much as the 1st and 2nd but the combat, graphics, and cool additions make it a true experience for someone who’s as big a fan as I am.
Playing through this again, I realize that Mass Effect 3 bothered me because of 2 iconic things:
1. Lazy Romances or Extremely Shallow Ones
The character relationships are...
What I Want In A Mass Effect Sequel
The challenge of a new Mass Effect is that as fans we are not going to be cool with a post-epic because Bioware will have to pick one of the 4/5 possible endings for 3 and force it to be canon. With the end of 3 being such a huge disappointment for the fanbase, I would think that further agitation would be the last thing that Bioware would want to do to the people who support and purchase their titles.
That being said, I believe...
The End of The Bioware I Knew And Loved
Today solidified the rumors that Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka (the 2 men who started the Bioware that we all knew and loved) are retiring from the game. While this is no surprise to fans like myself who have felt a major change in the recent titles under EA, it means that the Bioware that we once knew is now gone.
What does this mean?
It reminds me of music in a way, when an artist that you have followed, bought all of his albums...
Deleting Star Wars: The Old Republic And Moving On
Tonight I was itching for some PC Gaming after what seemed like a year’s worth of backed up work and little to no time to dabble in my favorite pastime. Diablo III just gave out a great patch to influence a mindless grind – but unfortunately I wasn’t in the mood for hack n slashin.
Drifting over the numerous installs I have from Steam and the shrinking space on my hard drive the all too familiar logo for Star Wars: The Old...
Finally Some Closure For My Mass Effect 3 Story
It was an odd bit of emotion for me as I watched the extended ending of Mass Effect 3 for my Shepard on a save that I kept sitting for this exact moment.
Editor’s Note: The following write-up is in detail of the end so if you haven’t beaten the game yet I must warn that there are spoilers to come.
When I first beat the game I chose synthesis as my decision for the universe because frankly I had personal feelings for...
Mass Effect 3 Extended Ending Coming On June 26!
Well Mass Effect fans and Shepard junkies, we asked and it has finally been developed for release in 4 days from now.
The ending to Mass Effect 3 was one of the most disappointing and comment-worthy (some would say cringe-worthy) disaster to come out of Bioware since the abortion known as Dragon Age 2.
Not only did it annoy and completely turn people off from the company but it also added fuel to the fire that has branded Electronic...
Extended Cut Ending Coming For Mass Effect 3
Great news from the BioWare camp; rather than changing the ending to Mass Effect 3 or selling us DLC to explain things, there will be a FREE expansion coming out to give us more of an explanation as to what happens post-Reaper apocalypse. BioWare has released a brief FAQ – to which we have posted some below but the full documentation can be read at the official Bioware blog.
What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?
For...
Ray Muzyka of BioWare Promises Answers For ME3
Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of Bioware, has written a letter asking fans to keep it “constructive” with the criticism and posted it on the Bioware blog. In the letter he re-iterates how Bioware does read our feedback across all platforms and takes seriously the comments from it’s die-hard fans. From the letter you can feel the confusion and the hurt from Muzyka, confusion in the fact that the game has been getting...
Mass Effect 3 – What If That Really Wasn’t The End…
**Spoilers Abound… you have been warned.**
Could Mass Effect 3, one of the greatest RPG series of our time, have the greatest ending ever – masked in speculation, emotional backlash from fans, and an answer waiting in a future DLC?
I believe the answer is yes as even I was angered and emotional over the crappy ending. But as I replayed the events of the finale and thought about everything that led up to it I smiled...
