Capcom has publicly stated that while Resident evil 6 has sold over 5 million units, the core changes did not appeal to players. I would say quite the opposite; if you bought RE6 it was due to the words “Resident Evil” being in the title and your trust and hope that it would deliver. I can imagine that if Resident Evil was a person she would find herself now in her bedroom bawling her eyes out wondering why nobody...

The challenge of a new Mass Effect is that as fans we are not going to be cool with a post-epic because Bioware will have to pick one of the 4/5 possible endings for 3 and force it to be canon. With the end of 3 being such a huge disappointment for the fanbase, I would think that further agitation would be the last thing that Bioware would want to do to the people who support and purchase their titles. I remember when I first got into Everquest II and how much I hated having to look for groups to complete the “kill xx number of xx” quest that would gain me the experience jump that solo-killing mobs wouldn’t. It was a harrowing task for a DPS class as was the case of any MMO of that time period. One of these days I am going to be able to bring up an MMORPG in conversation and it won’t descend into a discussion on Star Wars Galaxies, Dark Age of Camelot, or Ultima Online.  I really, really wish we could bury these fossils and leave them out of conversation when dealing with newer games on the horizon.
