While the return to Omega was a nice trip down memory lane, I found the relative length and mediocrity of this DLC “Omega” to be a bit disappointing. For years we (my friends and I) have recalled the fun that we had with Tecmo Super Bowl for NES back in the day. We recalled the overpowered players and the ability to run a ball all the way back to one’s own end-zone only to sprint back to the opponent’s using Bo Jackson. The game was the highlight of its day showcasing Tecmo’s beautiful cinemas (they were some of the best at this) and running full seasons with friends,... 

So what is the future of fighting games? Street Fighter 4 has jump started the genre by bringing back veterans of the old series and attracting new blood to the competition. With the next installment being released soon, the upsurge can only continue to build until like it’s predecessors it dies down until the 5th sequel. But it worries me that only a few games are viable as true winners in the fighting game genre. Offhand I think...
